This episode doesn’t have much happening in it. While I like how the seemingly tough doctor is actually kind-hearted, the episode feels a bit lacking in flavor. That said, the tension in the later part of the story is something I’m looking forward to.

Episode Context

Picking up directly from Episode 80's arrival on Drum Island, this episode deepens the crew's entanglement with the island's political scars and harsh environment as they desperately search for a doctor to save Nami. It expands the local mythology around Dr. Kureha and builds tension that feeds directly into Episode 82's escalation with Wapol's returning forces, making it a critical connective chapter in the Drum Island arc.
