the alice in wonderland feeling of the trees singing while luffy tried to figure out why he kept seeing his own double is exactly how i imagined these woods

brulee looks like she crawled straight out of a nightmare and her mirror ability makes the forest even more confusing

the anime definitely slowed down the pace while luffy was running in circles but seeing brulee come out of the mirror was a cool way to start the fight

The whole seducing woods sequence feels like a horror movie mixed with a weird musical, and the singing trees are actually terrifying. Randolph riding that massive bird is such a bizarre character design, but it works for this island. It feels like the crew is stuck in a loop and the way the scenery keeps changing makes the forest feel alive

The accordion music in the woods makes every scene feel creepy, and it really fits the weird fairy tale vibe of whole cake island
