Water animation in this episode looked so good and it made the island feel unique even if the pacing was a bit slow in the cafe

I got chills hearing the voices of Sanji's brothers for the first time and the Germa stuff is finally starting because they sound like such jerks already

Pedro is the only one with his head on straight right now and his face when Pudding was acting all nice was exactly how most people would feel about this situation

Big Mom using her own children for power is terrifying and seeing Pudding talk about her sisters makes the whole family dynamic feel so messed up and creepy

Meeting Pudding really threw me for a loop; she seemed so sweet and genuine, almost too good to be true given Big Mom's reputation. The real jaw-dropper, though, was realizing Big Mom's got a hundred kids and dozens of husbands – I mean, how does she even remember all their names, and what kind of chaotic family dinners do they even have? It definitely made me rethink how easy it'll be for Luffy to just waltz in there.

Pekoms's warning at the very end totally freaked me out, honestly. I'm so worried about what kind of crazy trap awaits the Straw Hats, especially since Pekoms, who's usually so tough, looked genuinely scared. It makes me think whatever Big Mom has planned is way worse than anything they've faced recently.

I am still trying to wrap my head around how one woman has eighty five children and that family tree is just terrifying

Watching the straw hats eat that chocolate cafe was fun but the animation felt pretty flat during the long talk with Pudding

Pudding seems too nice and it makes me nervous because her mom is a literal monster and something feels off about her being so helpful to Luffy

Having Charlotte Pudding offer her help feels like a trap waiting to happen because nobody in the Big Mom family can be that sweet

Seeing Pudding act so humble while Sanji is trapped with those Germa creeps is a weird contrast, but it still feels like a facade.

Having eighty nine kids is absolutely insane and Big Mom is just using all of them to build up her crew like they are just tools for her power

The water animation looked pretty good today but those long talking scenes with Pudding felt a bit stiff and the energy dropped during the long conversation segments

Hearing Sanji's brothers talk for the first time was the highlight and they sound exactly as arrogant as you would expect from the way Sanji talks about them

Sanji deserves someone nice after all the crap he went through with his family and seeing those Germa 66 teases makes me want to see him punch his brothers

The animation dipped pretty hard while they were sitting around talking with Pudding, but it looked much better once the scene changed to Sanji with his family

Sanji found a total sweetheart in Pudding and she seems way too good for a political marriage like this

Pudding seems like a genuine angel and she is even willing to help the crew find Sanji at the cost of her own happiness

I really like Pudding so far and she seems so sweet and kind but Pedro looking all suspicious in the corner has me wondering if there is more to her than we see

That conversation on the ship felt like it went on forever and the drawing quality looked a bit rough today

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 787 picks up directly after the crew's tense arrival in Big Mom's territory in Episode 786, shifting focus from navigation to negotiation as they make their first significant contact on Cacao Island. Pudding's introduction here is a critical narrative pivot—this encounter shapes the crew's entire strategy for infiltrating Whole Cake Island in the episodes ahead. It's an essential setup piece in the Whole Cake Island arc, establishing alliances, suspicions, and emotional stakes that will drive the conflict forward.
