Reiju is easily a top tier character because she just kicked her own brother off the boat and then had the manners to say sorry to the Straw Hats

Chopper losing his mind over Luffy while everyone else is just chilling and eating dinner totally cracked me up, I mean, that's just classic Straw Hats right there. And then to see that huge, weird snail ship Germa rolls up in? My jaw literally dropped, it's so wild!

I was really worried about Luffy eating that poisonous fish skin, but the introduction of Reiju and Yonji totally stole the spotlight. Seeing Sanji's family finally show up in their Sentai outfits was such a trip, especially with that massive snail castle. Reiju seems way more reasonable than her brother after she kicked him for being so incredibly rude to Nami.

I still cannot believe Luffy almost died to a random fish after all the poison he took in Impel Down and he just looked so miserable while everyone else was eating the good parts

The way the Vinsmoke siblings have those Power Ranger outfits is so weird for this show but it actually looks cool and their technology seems way ahead of everyone else

Yonji has the same eyebrows as Sanji and it makes the whole family connection feel so real and he is kind of a jerk for not sharing the medicine

The squeaky sound Yonji makes when he walks is so funny and it is wild how much he looks like Sanji but his attitude is way worse than his brother

Seeing those curly eyebrows on someone who isn't Sanji felt so wrong, but the weirdly colorful aesthetic of the Germa 66 squad made the encounter feel unique.

Yonji has the same eyebrows as Sanji but he acts like a total brat who refuses to help anyone and it makes the family dynamic seem pretty messy

Waiting this long to see Sanji's family and then getting a guy like Yonji felt like a total prank at first. Reiju seems much more interesting and she actually has some manners unlike her brother who just stood there acting all superior. I'm really curious how she's going to deal with Luffy's poison situation since I saw how rough he looks right now.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the revelations and emotional weight of the Zou arc, this episode marks an early turning point as the crew splits and sails toward a deeply personal mission tied to Sanji's circumstances. It builds directly on the tension of his sudden departure and begins pulling back the curtain on his family lineage and the military power of Germa 66. Everything here is setup for the Whole Cake Island arc's central conflicts — expect these introductions to pay off in major ways across the episodes ahead.
