The silver mine setting feels a bit recycled but Desire having a history with Bartolomeo adds a nice layer to the plot that makes her introduction stand out

Luffy following a meat trail right into a trap is the most Luffy thing ever and Bartolomeo losing his mind over being in a cage with his idol actually made me laugh

Bill seems like a really generic villain but his smelt power is actually kind of cool even if his character design is a bit lazy for a movie tie in arc

Bartolomeo is basically just a self insert for every one piece fan and you can tell he was having the time of his life just being kidnapped with Luffy

The new opening song is such a bop and seeing those tiny glimpses of the Kaido fight and Jack in the animation shows how much bigger the world is getting

I think the Barto Club relying on Gambia's grandma for advice via snail phone is pure comedy because that canon gag really highlights the chaos of the crew

The new theme song for the arc really got my blood pumping; I just know this next adventure is gonna be wild after all the heavy stuff in Dressrosa. Those quick animation previews gave me serious hype for what's coming, it feels like a whole new level for the Straw Hats!

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 747 marks the beginning of the anime-original Silver Mine Arc, arriving immediately after the conclusion of the Dressrosa saga's aftermath episodes. It serves as a transitional filler arc, separating the massive Dressrosa storyline from the upcoming Zou Arc. The next episode, 'An Underground Maze! Luffy vs. the Tram Human!', deepens the arc's central conflict within the Silver Mine setting.
