I cannot get over how Luffy looks in Gear Fourth and seeing him bounce around while Doflamingo stands there looking totally confused made me laugh so hard

When Luffy just stared down Doflamingo like that, I swear I felt a shiver, remembering how hopeless things seemed against him before. It really made me wonder how much more power he's still holding back from us.

The look on Doflamingo's face when he tried to block and still got sent flying by that first Kong Gun was such a satisfying moment for everyone watching

The way he pulls his fist into his arm like a spring is such a cool use of his fruit and Haki together

I honestly didn't expect Gear Fourth to look like a giant balloon, but the animation during that transformation scene was actually so good

I thought the bouncing looked so silly at first and then Luffy just starts flying through the air and punching Doflamingo across the entire city

I really loved how Gear Fourth combines the Haki with his rubber body because it makes so much sense after his training with Rayleigh, and seeing Doflamingo get absolutely humbled by a giant bouncing man is just perfect. The animation for the Kong Gun felt so heavy and seeing the Warlord actually look scared for once was totally worth the wait

That Kong Gun punch felt so heavy and seeing the shockwave go through the city really sold how strong he is now

Luffy retracting his fists into his arms for that first punch looked so weird and powerful at the same time

I honestly didn't know what to expect with Gear Fourth, but seeing Luffy turn into a giant bouncing balloon caught me off guard. Doflamingo laughing at him was funny because he had no idea he was about to get kicked into a building. His fist just keeps chasing Doflamingo through the air with Culverin and that is definitely my favorite part of the fight

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting deep in the Dressrosa arc, Episode 726 follows directly from 'Anger Erupts! I Will Take Everything upon Myself!' where tensions hit critical mass, and it delivers the explosive escalation fans have been building toward. This is a clear turning point in the Luffy vs. Doflamingo showdown, representing a dramatic shift in momentum. It sets the stage directly for Episode 727, 'A Massive Counterattack! Doflamingo's Awakening!', promising that the battle is far from over and both sides have more to show.
