Episode Context

Sitting in the heart of the Orange Town arc, this episode follows Luffy's clash with Beast Tamer Mohji and narrows the lens onto Zoro's individual battle, giving the crew's swordsman his first real showcase fight. It runs parallel to the larger conflict against Buggy the Clown and directly sets the stage for the arc's climactic Luffy vs. Buggy confrontation in the episodes ahead.
