Episode Context

Coming off revelations about Dressrosa's hidden history, this episode pivots toward active resistance with the introduction of 'Operation: SOP' while simultaneously delivering a deeply personal turning point for Luffy inside the Colosseum. It bridges the arc's exposition-heavy setup with the coming offensive against Doflamingo's regime. The encounter teased here becomes a major emotional throughline for the battles and alliances that define the rest of Dressrosa.
