Shooting a child just to clear a path for their ship, that level of cold brutality from the World Government absolutely appalled me. It makes me seriously question if they've always been this openly monstrous, or if I just haven't seen it laid out so plainly before.

It makes so much sense that Ace refused to run away from Bluejam even when the fire was everywhere and that explains why he stood his ground against Akainu later on, and my heart just breaks thinking about Luffy losing two brothers like this. Sabo didn't even get to see the ocean properly before that monster in the ship decided his life didn't matter

The way Sabo just wanted freedom but the Celestial Dragon shot him down, it makes you hate the world government so much more than before
