EPISODE REVIEWS

I cant believe Bon Clay stayed behind to open the gates for them and his final speech about friendship actually made me cry my eyes out

Episode Context

This episode serves as the culmination of the Impel Down breakout, following episodes of grueling floor-by-floor descent and increasingly dangerous confrontations that tested Luffy to his limits. It bridges the prison arc directly into the Marineford War saga, as the crew's escape is only the first step toward rescuing Ace from execution. Everything that follows, one of One Piece's most legendary arcs, hinges on whether this desperate gambit succeeds.
