I totally gasped when Perona just vanished like that after Kuma touched her; my mind immediately went to what kind of terrifying power that was, especially since the crew was too busy with Oars to even notice her sudden departure. I'm really hoping she's not just gone forever.

Episode Context

This episode marks a major escalation in the Thriller Bark arc, arriving after the crew's prolonged battle against the massive Oars and shifting focus to an entirely new threat in Bartholomew Kuma. His introduction as a Warlord of the Sea adds government-level stakes to what was previously a contained island conflict. This sets the stage for some of the arc's most consequential and emotionally charged moments yet to come.
