EPISODE REVIEWS

It seems like Usopp and the other pirate hunter were testing my patience in this episode because of what happened to Zoro. However, their reaction is completely understandable since it’s just how they are.

Episode Context

Episode 31 launches the Arlong Park arc, one of early One Piece's most pivotal storylines, immediately following Sanji's recruitment during the Baratie arc. The crew is now complete enough to face a genuine regional power, and this episode establishes Arlong as the most formidable antagonist the Straw Hats have encountered. Everything here sets the foundation for deeply personal stakes, particularly surrounding Nami, that will define the episodes ahead.
