Luffy really outshone everyone there, and it was just plain funny to see Don Krieg fall apart without his armor on. Plus, Sanji timed everything just right, taking Don Krieg down immediately after the save was made.

The fight concluded in this episode. The exaggerated faces during that were a bit hilarious, but I can’t deny that I appreciate this kind of art style, lol. Don Krieg was definitely an interesting opponent.

This episode concluded the fight in the Baratie arc. It was a satisfying end, but it still left me wondering what will happen to Gin and Krieg’s crew. That ending had a lot of intrigue.

That was a satisfying ending and an intriguing setup with the cliffhanger. Now it’s getting more interesting as we move into another arc in the next episode.

A clean and satisfying resolution that wraps the conflict decisively. The payoff feels earned.

luffy finally lands the finishing blow on krieg and it feels earned after so much buildup, watching that golden armor shatter is super satisfying and the moment with gin at the end adds some unexpected heart to the wrap-up

What a pathetic way of relying on the armor and weapon and say you're the strongest. That is the weakest statement I've ever hear. Also, Luffy falling asleep after he got out of the sea, it's so funny.

Gin is actually a respectable character for standing up to his captain like that and then taking him away to start over. He recognized the strength in Luffy and Sanji and it was interesting

I still cannot believe Luffy punched through those spikes just to land a hit on Krieg and his hands were a total mess but he didnt even flinch before finishing the fight with that giant hammer

Luffy really is a monster for taking a direct explosion and just standing up and smiling afterward. Don Krieg never had a chance against someone who is that obsessed with being the pirate king

I can't believe Luffy really punched through those spikes and he didn't even flinch when his hands started bleeding. His face looked so scary and determined right before he smashed Krieg face first into the deck

Sanji finally looks like he wants to leave the Baratie after watching Luffy fight with everything he had. Zeff knew what he was doing by giving that speech about the spear in a mans heart

Watching Luffy shatter that golden armor was insane and Krieg deserved every bit of it after trying to use that poison gas on everyone. That boy really does not know how to stay down

I am still thinking about that weird sound effect when Luffy said he won't die because it sounded exactly like a heartbeat, or something special. Seeing Sanji dive in to save him after the fight was such a huge moment for his character and I think he finally realizes he needs to go find the All Blue with this crew

Krieg was a total coward for using that iron net at the last second, but Luffy using it to spin himself into a human drill was the coolest thing ever. That armor didn't stand a chance

That ending with Nami on the boat by herself was so sad and seeing her cry over that picture makes me want to know what Arlong is doing to her village. The mood shifted so fast

Don Krieg kept bragging about his armor and his weapons but they all turned into scrap metal by the end. Luffy proved that having a dream is way more dangerous than having a bunch of hidden guns

It was crazy when Luffy threw the gas mask to Gin because it shows exactly what kind of leader he is. He almost died from the poison but he still kept moving and landed that final hammer

It was so smart how Luffy used that iron net to his advantage and turned himself into a giant hammer to end the fight

Don Krieg was such a fraud for relying on poison gas the second things got difficult and it made his defeat by a simple rubber boy feel even more deserved

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 29 serves as the climactic finale of the Baratie Arc's central confrontation, capping off multiple episodes of escalating tension between Luffy and the heavily armed Don Krieg. The previous episodes built up Krieg as the arc's primary threat while deepening Sanji's backstory, and this episode delivers the payoff on the combat side. With this fight resolved, the series pivots toward wrapping up the arc's character threads and launching the crew toward their next major destination.
