EPISODE REVIEWS

Episode Context

Coming off episodes that established Sanji's generosity and the Baratie's unique culture, episode 22 introduces the major antagonist of this arc and raises the threat level considerably. It bridges the character-building phase of the Baratie storyline with the full-blown conflict ahead, turning what seemed like a detour into a critical proving ground for Luffy's growing crew. The dominoes set here will drive the action and emotional payoffs across the next several episodes.
