Episode Context

This episode sits within the anime-original G-8 arc, widely regarded as one of the better filler stretches in One Piece, following the crew's crash-landing into a Marine fortress after Skypiea. Episode 197 narrows the focus from the ensemble infiltration to Sanji's solo mission in the base kitchen, while the rest of the crew navigates their own dangers. It bridges into escalating tension as the Straw Hats' cover begins to unravel, setting up complications for Zoro and Chopper in the episodes ahead.
