That cliffhanger! OMG, so hyping! Can't get enough of that intensity and that petals have not seen for so long were finally shown here! Sommers reminded me of Kizaru, such an annoying character! No Luffy appearance in this ep, though, and the pacing got slowed down a bit with what the plot was building.

Episode Context

Following Episode 1176, in which the Straw Hats and Saul are left in a severely compromised position after Gunko's confrontation with the crew, Episode 1177 turns those defeats into Sommers's island-wide ultimatum. The episode transitions directly toward Robin and Gaban taking action in Episode 1178, placing it as the pressure-building hinge between the Knights of God's opening move and the counterattack that follows.
