That cliffhanger seems like it was from a different anime. The music definitely was perfect, with that booming evil sound. Reminded me of 'Full Metal Alchemist' kind of thing. Well, it was weird that we had been seeing Robin's full, childish smile for a long while now. Elbaph's visuals were refreshing and a picturesque view from a children's book, like 'The Wizard of Oz' or 'Alice in the Wonderland', while the library had this aura on Harry Potter's, too.

Episode Context

This episode arrives directly after the emotionally charged reunion between Robin and Saul, one of the arc's most anticipated payoffs, and uses that momentum to shift into deeper world-building territory. Rather than pressing forward narratively, it consolidates the emotional stakes by exploring Elbaph's cultural history and the inherited will of Ohara. It functions as a bridge episode, grounding the crew before the arc accelerates toward its next major developments.
