This episode balances action and narrative progression, offering glimpses of conflict while still pushing the story forward. The animation highlights quick bursts of combat, keeping viewers engaged without losing focus on the bigger picture.

Watching those gross expressions on Luffy and Zoro after Lucci suggested a team up was so funny and those faces looked exactly like a reaction to something that disgusting

I couldn't handle those shots of young Kuma crying while the guards beat him and it made his whole mystery feel so much heavier and more depressing than before

The pacing slowed down a bit with the Sanji scenes, but the horror elements are finally picking up. It's wild seeing the Seraphim turn on their creators like that

It is weird that they censored Stussy's outfit but left York alone. It makes no sense for the anime to do that right now

The sketch style for Kuma's flashback was such a gut punch, I wasn't ready for how much seeing him as a kid, desperately begging for death, would mess me up. It makes you wonder what kind of hell he truly went through to become the silent giant we know.

Toei really went too far making Sanji bark like an actual dog for Stussy. It completely ruined the mood of the scene for no reason

I really liked those disgusted faces Luffy and Zoro made when Lucci asked for an alliance. It was the perfect break from the stress of the Seraphim attacking

I cannot believe how much they are building up the mystery of who is controlling the Seraphim. Shaka getting locked out of his own system is a huge problem. Seeing Bonney cry over Kuma's memories hit me hard. The raw art style during the flashback really made his suffering feel more real and personal than the usual animation

the way s-snake just ignored lilith shows how much trouble they are in and egghead is turning into a total death trap

young kuma being treated like that by the celestial dragons was actually sickening and the sketch art style made his pain feel way more real

Seeing Kuma's childhood memories broke my heart and I felt just as overwhelmed as Bonney did. My soul hurts after watching him plead for his life like that

I am so invested in this mystery and trying to figure out who the traitor is among the vegapunks since shaka lost control of the seraphim. Seeing luffy and zoro have to potentially work with lucci and kaku is such a weird turn of events after everything at enies lobby, but i guess they dont have a choice with s-bear attacking

it was wild watching zoro clash with a mini mihawk in that sword fight and i loved how the floor was just getting shredded by the force

i lost it when luffy and zoro made those grossed out faces at lucci and kaku because that alliance idea is honestly foul

they really dragged out that sanji and stussy bit for way too long and it felt super weird compared to the tension everywhere else

s-snake turning york to stone was a total shock, and it really feels like someone is pulling the strings behind the scenes now

hearing kuma cry out and ask to die was a total gut punch and the voice actor really did an incredible job with that tragedy

I actually had to look away when young Kuma was crying and getting hit like that. It made my stomach turn and I just want to give that poor kid a hug right now

the dark hallways and broken cameras made the whole search for stella feel so claustrophobic and tense throughout the entire episode

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode follows directly from Episode 1106's escalating search for Dr. Vegapunk, ratcheting up the internal danger within the laboratory as alliances become uncertain and unseen forces make their move. It serves as a critical bridge episode in the Egghead arc, layering in betrayal and suspense that directly feeds into Episode 1108's explosive payoff — 'The Seraphim's Rebellion.' Skipping this one means missing the setup that gives the coming chaos its full impact.
