This episode was absolutely insane. Seeing luffy awaken gear five during his fight against kaido was one of the craziest moments in OP. The animation, music, and energy of the whole fight were honestly on another level!!

Luffy's whole goofy look, bouncing around like an old-school cartoon, was such a wild turn, I honestly didn't expect him to literally just peel up the ground like a carpet with that much ease. It made me crack up thinking about how much he's always wanted to be the freest guy, and this is totally him just living it.

I finally understand why the government was so scared of that fruit for centuries and seeing the drums of liberation start up gave me actual chills because luffy looks so free

Luffy's crazy silhouette against the full moon totally caught me off guard, I mean, my jaw literally dropped. I'm just so hyped to see what kind of wild moves he pulls out with this new power, it feels like everything's about to change for the Straw Hats!

I can still hear the drums of liberation in my head and hearing Luffy laugh like a maniac made me so happy

I actually burst out laughing when Kaido had stars spinning around his head after getting slammed into the dirt

Luffy using Kaido as a skipping rope is the most ridiculous thing this show has ever done and it fits his character so well

I can't believe they actually went full Looney Tunes with the animation and it actually worked so well and seeing Luffy bounce around like a rubber ball while laughing his head off made me so happy

Woah, Luffy's new Gear 5 antics are seriously something else; I couldn't believe my eyes when he just casually ripped up the entire floor to deflect that blast, it was so ridiculously powerful and yet still hilarious like a literal cartoon.

The way Luffy used the ground like a rug to reflect that Bolo Breath was the funniest thing this show has ever done and I love that he is literally a cartoon now

Cutting away to the Hiyori and Orochi scene right when the fight got good really killed the momentum

That moment Luffy transformed, his hair white and bouncing like a cartoon god, I honestly couldn't stop smiling myself. My only beef was getting yanked out of that high-energy spectacle to watch Orochi fumble around again; it just totally killed my vibe and I really didn't want to see that old plot point again right then.

When Kaido got those goofy stars and birds spinning, I just burst out laughing because it was such a classic Luffy move even in such a huge fight. It's exactly the kind of ridiculousness that makes me love his character so much; he brings that carefree energy to absolutely everything.
