Episode Context

Coming directly off Episode 1027, where Zoro and Law put themselves on the line to protect Luffy from Kaido's onslaught, this episode marks a critical pivot as Luffy re-enters the fight with renewed resolve. It sits deep within the Onigashima raid portion of the Wano arc, where simultaneous battles are reaching their boiling points across the island. The groundwork laid here feeds directly into the episodes that follow, where the raid's intensity only compounds and the arc pushes toward its most consequential turning points.
