Episode Context

Sitting at roughly the quarter mark of the Fish-Man Island Saga, this episode is the climax of the underwater transit arc, the crew has faced the Kraken and been split apart, and now nature itself escalates the danger before they can reach their destination. It bridges the gap between the deep-sea gauntlet and the crew's long-anticipated arrival at Fish-Man Island, making it a critical transition point where survival stakes peak before the saga shifts to the political and personal conflicts waiting on the island.
