Synopsis
For a long time, Nanami has had feelings for Akira, but in her mind, soccer is the third wheel that's always kept them apart. She resents the sport for it. So when Akira actually asks her to manage the school soccer team, her answer is a firm no — until it isn't, and she ends up taking the role anyway. That's where things between them start shifting in ways she didn't expect. This 2-episode OVA from 2007 is upfront about what it is: a short adult title that uses the sports setting as a backdrop for an explicit relationship story. The soccer angle gives it a bit more texture than a typical setup — there's an actual reason these two characters are orbiting each other beyond coincidence, and Nanami's complicated feelings about the sport add a small but genuine emotional thread running underneath everything. It's not a slow burn drama, but it does have more character framing than most entries in the genre bother with. If you've watched something like Resort Boin or Stringendo: Angel-tachi no Private Lesson and appreciated when there's at least a relationship dynamic to anchor the story, this sits in that same space. It's a niche pick, clearly, but if you're already browsing this corner of anime, the sports-meets-romance framing makes it a slightly more grounded watch than the average OVA in the genre.
