I liked how the episode gradually built tension through new information rather than action.

This episode delved further into the scandium conspiracy and explained a fair amount more about the ghost situation. The characters that were once quite separate are coming together to solve the mysteries surrounding the mass drowning. Great watch, more setup than payoff so far.

Episode Context

Episode 8 delivered major revelations about the characters' true conditions and the Society's experiments, fundamentally reframing the series' central mystery. Episode 9 processes those revelations through Miyuu's personal investigation, grounding the larger conspiracy in individual stakes while pushing toward the endgame. With only three episodes remaining, this installment bridges the mid-season reveals and the critical confrontations ahead, setting the stage for the group's deepening understanding of their collective situation.
