This episode takes an unexpected turn that I never saw coming. Seeing this new side of Kaname is really interesting, but I can't shake the feeling that another surprise is waiting. That unpredictability makes the anime even more entertaining.

This is the one that I've been waiting for! I’m getting tired of the cycle in the previous ep so this one feels refreshing for me. Seeing Kei like this feels like I'm about to watch the most serious game of all time. Everyone was so funny and even they didn’t expect it. But my question is, did that thing really work on him?

Episode Context

Coming off Episode 8's significant roster addition with Kazuki Tsuchiya joining the team, this ninth episode pivots to address the lingering thread of Kei's amnesia, a core mystery that's been driving the series since the premiere. It serves as a character-focused bridge between the team-building phase and the high-stakes final arc, with a looming practice match against a powerhouse school setting the stage for the climactic episodes 10 through 12.
