It kind of gave a different kick. Imagine having lift at the first part then suddenly falling to a dramatic turn. The only thing that made the episode a bit balance was the issue of the cat.

The atmosphere in this episode is hilarious and chaotic. Moreover, the interaction between Kanako and Ichinose is just so funny. And then there's interaction progress between Junpei and Kanako in this episode. However, the story begins to take a more serious turn, making the series even more compelling.
