Episode Context

Following the group's desperate escape to the supermarket in Episode 2, this episode tests whether any location can truly serve as a safe haven in the Nyandemic, and answers decisively. It deepens the ensemble dynamics, particularly around Kaoru and Kunagi, while establishing the pattern that temporary refuge only breeds new danger. Sitting at the quarter-mark of a 12-episode season, 'Cats in Prison' sets the stage for increasingly dire survival challenges ahead.
