introducing a sudden amnesia arc in the penultimate episode is a historically frustrating trope designed to artificially inflate the drama. it stalls the narrative momentum right before the climax, though it does raise the stakes.

the sudden memory loss arc is breaking my heart a little bit, really just want hiyori to remember everything and for them to be happy together again.
