This episode was really funny, even though it also had a lot of emotional depth. I love the way the story is developing, and the characters are growing so well. I don’t think anyone expected Nodame’s behavior. She’s so cute!

A magnificent start that really delivers; there's much about the opening acts that really made me rewatch it a few more times. It's amazing how far Chiaki has come from the initial start of the story, with Nodame's gift in his hands and forging her own path forward.
