While paced much slower than other episodes, this one does hit on important character-building moments and especially continues to expand the interesting dynamic between Shion and Rat as more tension builds. Action takes a backseat as we sit with the characters and their attempts to perspective-take.

The episode balances parallel storylines effectively, heightening emotional stakes and the growing sense of paranoia in No.6. A fascinating confrontation between Shion and Nezumi reveals core differences in their worldviews and growing closeness.
