This episode really picks up the pace with some interesting visual body horror beats as they continue to unveil what's going on behind the bees seemingly plaguing the city's residents. We also get to see more about Rat's character and what drives him and his motives compared to Shion's, giving us more about their dynamic and growing relationship.

The lead characters' chemistry deepens amid growing danger. Survival brings them together to a unique safe haven on the outskirts. Nezumi provides a cynical education in survival, new players emerge, and the horrific biological mystery of the parasitic wasps deepens further.

Episode Context

Episode 3 sits early in No.6's 11-episode run, building directly on Shion and Nezumi's reunion and escape from the city in Episode 2. This installment functions as a grounding chapter, establishing their relationship outside No.6 and deepening the mystery of what the city is hiding, which becomes the central throughline for the remainder of the series. It lays essential character and thematic groundwork that the mid-season episodes will escalate considerably.
