It slows down and hits different. Instead of non-stop fights, we get a tragic backstory. The writing turns a generic antagonist into a betrayed, tragic figure and makes you actually feel it. The pacing drops a bit, but the visuals and emotional payoff make it worth it.

Episode Context

Coming off Episode 9's successful AUZA hack by Emma and Jason, Episode 10 pivots from tactical warfare to personal reckoning, deepening the Higan-Zai dynamic that's been simmering all season. Positioned as a crucial bridge at the ten-of-thirteen mark, it provides the emotional context and character motivation needed to fuel the final three-episode stretch. The groundwork laid here directly escalates the personal and narrative stakes heading into the endgame.
