Synopsis
Rumors of an app that can supposedly hypnotize people start circulating around school. Sounds like the kind of thing you'd laugh off, right? Aoi Era, a busty high schooler, doesn't pay it much mind either — she's too busy being excited about finally landing a boyfriend. Things seem to be going well. She brings him home, they run into her mom Yuko in the hallway, and something feels... off. Yuko barely steps out of the doorway. Aoi brushes it aside, but she probably shouldn't have. Turns out someone has already been using that hypnosis app on her mother, and now Aoi is next on the list. What starts as a fairly typical setup quickly slides into something way more unsettling, layering family dynamics with manipulation in a way that keeps the tension building. This 2025 OVA from Blue bread, adapted from a manga, leans hard into the psychological side of things rather than just going through the motions. The hook here is really about watching the net close around characters who don't realize what's already happened to the people closest to them. If you're into titles like Kansen: Inyoku no Rensa or Mesu Kyoushi: Injoku no Kyoushitsu — that same blend of suspense, control, and escalating stakes — Nikuen hits a similar nerve. It's dark, it's provocative, and the family angle gives it an extra layer of tension that most entries in this genre don't bother with.
