Niizuma Koyomi The Animation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Set in the quiet countryside, a ceramist apprentice suddenly finds himself at the center of attention from four very different women — Koyomi, a straightforward country girl; Shino, his caring older sister figure; Kuzunoha, an actual fox deity; and Tamaki, the daughter of his pottery mentor. Each one wants to win him over, and their method of doing so is arranging a 'newlywed day' where they get to act as his devoted wife for a stretch of time. The premise is equal parts absurd and charming, and the rural setting gives the whole thing a slower, warmer atmosphere than you'd expect from something in this genre. The variety in the women's personalities and backgrounds — especially having a literal divine fox spirit in the mix alongside ordinary human characters — keeps the romantic dynamics from feeling repetitive. If you've watched something like Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo or Ane Yome Quartet and enjoyed the multi-heroine format, this scratches a similar itch but with a more grounded, countryside flavor. It's a single OVA from T-Rex, adapted from a visual novel, so you're not committing to anything long. Think of it as a short, easygoing romantic comedy that happens to carry an adult rating — light on drama, heavy on the warmth of each character trying her best to make an impression.
