📖 SYNOPSIS

"Nightsong of Splendor" unfolds in the dynamic setting of old Tokyo, circa August-September 1923. The city is a melting pot of tradition and modernity, where horse-drawn carriages share the streets with automobiles, and swords coexist with pistols. Amidst this backdrop of social disparity, a wealthy woman finds herself captivated by Taka, a handsome young man. Taka and his younger brother are connected to the city's criminal underbelly, the Yakuza. The woman's maidservant, Sara, also encounters Taka, sparking a conflict that threatens to unravel their lives. As their intertwined fates progress, the narrative hints at a looming tragedy, promising themes of passion, dishonor, and the destructive power of forbidden desires against the backdrop of a city on the brink.
