I really liked this first part, which went straight into the high stakes and subverted our expectations twice with the whole presidential elections bit. The second part is also quite good and emotional, especially with the cat; it made me sad in the end, which I wasn’t expecting from Panty & Stocking. The third part is longer, but it deserves it: a great parody of 70s and 80s cartoons.

Is the first part an allegory for the American President? They definitely tried to pull a bait and switch for those who believe in him. Also, is that a reference to AI? This entire show feels like an allegory for problems in todays world.

OMG I like the comeback of D City Rock~! Honestly, really loving the new renditions of the tracks from S1🎶 The satire in the 1st story is crazy… I was thrown off by the unusual punch line 🤣 The 2nd story is a bittersweet pussycat tale with really nice payoff 😻💕 Finally, our 3rd story has insane art shifts, complete with very retro sound design! You can really feel the creators’ love for western comics and animation 😂

Episode Context

Sitting at the early-season mark as episode 4 of 13, this continues the anthology-style structure established in previous episodes, deepening both Panty and Stocking's characterization through unconventional narrative lenses. It builds on Episode 3's eclectic storytelling approach while pushing visual experimentation further than any prior entry. The creative ambition here sets a high bar for the season's back half, signaling that Trigger intends to keep escalating stylistic risks as the series progresses.
