Nerawareta Megami Tenshi Angeltia: Mamotta Ningen-tachi ni Uragirarete
Oshimeter
Synopsis
What happens when demons find a devastatingly effective strategy — deploy a field that drives humans into uncontrollable lust, then feed off the energy — is a nasty problem, with the only answer being Yuuri Maishima, an ordinary girl recruited by her mentor Suzune to become Angeltia — an Angel Goddess with the power to push back against the demonic tide. The training is intense, the enemies hit hard, and the people Yuuri thinks she can trust don't always stay trustworthy. That betrayal angle gives the story a bit more friction than you'd expect going in. Studio PoRO handles the four-episode OVA format well — the character designs are detailed and the animation holds up throughout, which matters a lot in this genre where corners get cut constantly. The supernatural framework is closer to Taimanin Asagi territory than anything lighthearted, so if that kind of dark magical-girl-adjacent setup worked for you there, Angeltia operates in the same space. Fans of Bible Black will also recognize the tone — demonic corruption, power dynamics between opposing supernatural factions, and escalating stakes. It's adapted from a visual novel by Syrup: Many Milk, and that source material gives it enough structured plot to feel like something is actually happening between scenes. Four episodes means it doesn't overstay its welcome. Know what you're getting into, and it delivers on what it promises.
