One of the favourite anime episodes of all time, which felt like a major turning point for the whole series. Shinji's leaving was tense, only to have him return, fight Zereul showed how trapped he was. The animation, sound design, and horror elements add so much to this, making it one of the more emotionally disturbing scenes in Evangelion.
