Episode Context

Coming off Mariko's emotional homecoming visit with a childhood friend, this episode extends that personal streak by pulling family even closer to the forefront. Shintaro's introduction adds a new variable to the Akindo club's established chemistry, planting seeds that carry directly into Episode 18, 'Friendship? Or Romance?', which promises to push the complexity of these relationships further. At the show's midpoint, the series is actively deepening its character web ahead of what figures to be a more emotionally charged second half.
