Natural Vacation The Animation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Blinding summer heat greets Kairi as he steps off a bus and finds himself staring at the ocean for the first time — he's traded city life for a quiet coastal town where his grandfather lives, and where pretty much everyone knows everyone. It's a gentle, unhurried setup: a new kid, a warm community, and two girls, Haruka and Yuzuki, who make him feel welcome in ways that quickly become complicated. The whole thing is draped in that lazy, golden summer atmosphere — azure water, sea breezes, the kind of scenery that makes you feel nostalgic for a summer you probably never actually had. T-Rex's animation keeps the coastal setting looking genuinely pretty, and the character dynamics between Kairi and the two girls carry enough warmth to make the relationships feel grounded rather than rushed. If you've watched Yosuga no Sora and appreciated that blend of quiet rural setting with intimate character focus, this hits a similar note. Fans of Aki Sora's softer romantic tone will also find familiar ground here. It's a one-episode OVA adapted from a visual novel, so it moves efficiently — don't expect slow-burn buildup, but the summer vacation mood is consistent throughout. Worth a look if you're after something short, visually pleasant, and built around that specific feeling of arriving somewhere new and leaving the rest of the world behind.
