Synopsis
Straight-A student Kanade Amakawa — film club member and nursing a fresh crush on her clubmate Hajime — comes back from summer break with the kind of quiet, earnest setup you've seen before. Except this 2-ep OVA from Anime Antenna Iinkai takes a sharp turn into adult territory almost immediately, so know what you're walking into before you hit play. Based on a visual novel, the story uses a familiar high school backdrop to explore how Kanade's self-image starts to crack once circumstances pull her into situations she never anticipated. The drama leans into that tension between who she thought she was and what she's becoming, which gives it more narrative weight than most entries in the genre bother to attempt. The animation holds up well for an OVA — character expressions actually convey something, and the school setting feels lived-in rather than generic. If you've watched something like Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo and wanted a bit more emotional grounding, or if Boku no Natsuyasumi's nostalgic summer atmosphere sounds appealing but you want something with more edge, this scratches a related itch. It's a short watch at two episodes, and it commits to its tone without a lot of padding. Just go in knowing this is a hentai title — the drama is real, but so is everything else.
