the abandoned school setting was HAUNTING. dust particles in the sunlight? Nice touch. creaky floorboard sound design was immersive. The escape sequence animation was smooth. spooky mystery vibes. 👻

Episode Context

Arriving at the early-middle stretch of the thirteen-episode season, episode four builds on the groundwork laid by 'The Mysterious Person at the Eight Fields' by pushing Natsume's dual existence, visible to spirits, hidden from humans, into a more socially fraught setting. It expands his world beyond one-on-one yokai encounters, integrating his school relationships into the supernatural framework. This positions the season to explore increasingly complex intersections between Natsume's human bonds and his inherited burden in the episodes ahead.
