It was so annoying watching Jiraiya get lured away by that woman when Naruto was clearly in danger, but the show makes it look like that is just how he is. People keep saying Itachi was scared of him but he just used the Amaterasu to escape and it felt more like he was avoiding a mess than being afraid of a fight
