The mystery with Menma and his broken ocarina actually kept me interested the whole time, and seeing him help that old lady with her groceries before cleaning her entire garden showed me he is a genuinely good person regardless of whatever dark past he is hiding from everyone because it makes the questions about his true identity feel much more urgent
