sakura trying to pull one over on the team with sleep bombs and the whole crew immediately seeing through it is kinda funny but also frustrating, the flashbacks to team 7 feel like padding when the tension should be ramping up, decent setup episode but nothing really happens

It felt like such a relief when Todoroki chose to lie in his official report, letting Gantetsu stay with those kids instead of going to prison. After all that intense, five-year long hatred, watching them share that simple wooden fish charm made me finally understand the true weight of their past and the hope for their future.

Gantetsu bending those iron bars while the building was literally on fire around them was easily the most impressive thing anyone did in these past few episodes

Naruto using his clones like a human ladder to reach Shura in the air was such a smart move and it made the final Rasengan hit even harder than usual

I hated seeing Akio get tortured by that umbrella guy but his refusal to talk showed how much he loves Gantetsu as a father

Those flashbacks to the fire dragged the episode down because they kept repeating the same scenes but seeing the brothers finally hug made it okay

Gantetsu walking through a wall of fire while carrying a kid to keep him safe proved he really did change his ways and deserved that second chance

I seriously didn't think Naruto would catch that umbrella guy, but my jaw dropped when he used his shadow clones as a human rocket launcher. It was such a classic Naruto move, pulling off something totally wild but incredibly effective when I least expect it from him.

That flashback of the fire actually being Gantetsu saving Akio from the smoke instead of hurting him was such a twist, it really changed my perspective on the whole arc

I can't believe I actually felt bad for Gantetsu after thinking he was a monster and seeing him bend those iron bars with his bare hands while the building burned showed he was for real

Shura deserved that rasengan to the face after he mocked a kid and tried to burn everyone alive in that wooden mansion and it was satisfying to see him fall

I usually find these side missions boring but the ending with everyone waving goodbye as the sun came up felt like a good way to finish the story for those orphans

Watching Naruto get squished by that wire net at the start was kind of gross because his teeth were breaking and everything but the shadow clone trick he used to escape was classic

People say to skip the filler but this one had a solid wrap up for the forest mission and the animation for the rasengan on the roof looked better than usual. The way Naruto used his clones to launch himself into the air was clever and I'm glad Todoroki finally realized Gantetsu was protecting Akio from the smoke instead of hurting him.

It actually got to me when Akio got that wooden fish charm back, especially since Todoroki had been carrying that around for five years while thinking his brother was dead.

Most of these episodes feel like a waste of time but the way Todoroki decided to fake Gantetsu being dead so he could keep raising those orphans was actually a decent ending

Shura trying to fly away on a mechanical umbrella was kind of ridiculous but the way Naruto used a rasengan to knock him out of the sky was a cool way to finish the arc

I really felt bad for Todoroki when he realized he spent years hating the guy who actually saved his brother from that fire and it was a nice bit of drama for a side story

That shadow clone ladder Naruto built to catch the guy flying on an umbrella was actually pretty smart and it made for a cool finisher with the rasengan even if it is just a filler

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode continues the Gantetsu Escort Mission filler arc, picking up after 'Memory of Flames' where the team's clash with the Ninja Dropouts left unresolved tensions between the central characters. It serves as the arc's emotional pivot point, confronting the moral fallout of earlier conflicts. The next episode, 'Vanished Memories,' carries forward the consequences of decisions made here, as the series inches toward its final episodes before Shippuden.
