Episode Context

Episode 20 serves as the bridge between the foundational Land of Waves arc and the Chunin Exam, one of Naruto's most celebrated story arcs. Everything prior established Team 7's baseline abilities and bonds under pressure; this episode resets the stage and raises the stakes by introducing a new competitive framework. From here, the series escalates significantly in scope, scale, and character roster.
