I felt so bad seeing Shikamaru just stand there in the rain after Asuma died, like that whole moment really cemented how much this loss is gonna weigh on him for a long time. I just know this is gonna change everything for him, maybe even make him more serious than usual, which is kinda scary to think about for someone who just wanted an easy life.
