lol whenever I skip filler they are always reintroduced in a hospital. It has to be a running gag at this point. Hoping this arc will include Asuma more.

This is skippable if you want unecessary episode. Though this episode shows 2 akatsuki.I assume that woman is a jinjuriki, considering what akatsuki's goal

Episode Context

Positioned between the resolution of prior team dynamics and the explosive Akatsuki confrontation arc that follows, episode 72 is a critical bridge. It picks up threads from the aftermath of 'My Friend,' grounding characters like Asuma and Naruto in personal stakes before the storm hits. The next episode, 'Akatsuki's Invasion,' makes good on every ounce of tension built here, making this an essential piece of escalation rather than one to skip.
