I actually started tearing up when Sasuke asked why Naruto wouldn't just stay down and die already, and then Naruto says it is because they are friends. It sounds so simple but after all the world-ending stuff we just went through it was the only answer that mattered. That flashback montage during the credits really drove home how much they both suffered alone.
