EPISODE REVIEWS

Little Itachi was a literal toddler thinking about the meaning of life and death while everyone else was playing and seeing him question the whole clan system that young is just wild

Episode Context

Sitting within the 'Itachi's Story: Light and Darkness' arc, this episode follows 'The Genius,' which established Itachi's extraordinary abilities and early tensions, and deepens the focus on his personal bonds and inner conflicts. It directly sets the stage for 'Shisui's Request,' where the relationships and themes introduced here escalate toward pivotal turning points in Itachi's trajectory. This stretch of episodes in the late 400s commits fully to recontextualizing Itachi's history before Shippuden's endgame.
