You can tell the idea of the Uchiha living is cool but seeing Sasuke act like this without the trauma makes him look so bad and makes you want the war back

My eyes rolled when Fugaku ignored Sasuke for Itachi again because it feels like the writers are just forcing him to be a villain even when his family is alive

I seriously didn't expect Minato to effortlessly catch both their hands during that rooftop fight; it just reminded me how insane his reflexes and speed are, even if it's a filler dream. It really makes me think about how much of a gap there is between him and pretty much everyone else.

I honestly still don't get why they're making Sasuke such an ungrateful kid in this version of the story; it's so frustrating seeing him miserable when his parents are alive and Shisui is literally right there training him. It almost feels like the writers are trying to force his future angst, but to me, it just makes him seem like a brat who can't appreciate anything good, even with all these second chances.

What am I even supposed to do with Sasuke's villain turn being chalked up to just jealousy of Naruto? It really makes me question if all the tragic stuff he suffered, like his entire clan being murdered, even matters anymore, and it’s genuinely frustrating to see his past struggles seemingly invalidated by such a petty motivation.

Ugh, Sasuke is just being absolutely insufferable in this timeline, like, I totally get that he's still figuring stuff out but his whole "my Rasengan isn't as big as Naruto's so I'm mad" attitude when he literally has a loving family and Shisui is just ridiculous to me. It makes me wonder if he's always going to be this petty, even with so much good around him.

After all the anticipation, the big fight at the end just... ended in a boom, leaving me kinda deflated and feeling like it was super rushed. Still, watching Naruto totally bust out his dad's jutsu was awesome and made me cheer for him, but I'm finding this filler arc is really starting to drag on my patience.

I loved seeing Sasuke's face after he realized Naruto actually packed more of a punch than him in that clash before Minato stepped in; you could just tell he was absolutely seething and probably already planning how to surpass him next. It makes me wonder how much that moment fueled his later decisions.

Sasuke, seriously, why'd you even bother slapping that food right out of Sakura's hand, especially with your parents watching? I was just so baffled by it, like he's still stuck in that dark place and can't even accept happiness, even when it's literally right there. Makes me question if he actually believes he deserves any good thing at all.

Minato finally getting to be a proper dad to Naruto, even if it's just this dream world fantasy, was surprisingly sweet, but my patience for these fillers is wearing thin. It just feels like we're wasting so much time while the actual battle for the world is on hold, and I'm itching to see how the real fight is going.

Sasuke, honestly, Minato was just giving Itachi a compliment, and my guy immediately went into full victim mode, making me wonder if he's even capable of seeing things from a positive angle. It's incredibly frustrating to witness this pattern, like he actively seeks out slights just to justify his own perpetual anguish.

Ugh, I'm so torn on this filler, especially since the war was finally heating up, but getting to see Naruto with his parents and Jiraiya, like a proper family, really got me right in the feels. It's so sweet but also kinda heartbreaking knowing it's not real, and honestly, seeing Sasuke still be a total emo jerk even with his family alive just makes me so mad, like dude, what is your deal?

It was really bittersweet seeing Shisui training Sasuke, I mean, it just made me wonder how things would've turned out for Sasuke if he'd had that kind of guidance and a different role model. Maybe he wouldn't have gone down such a dark path after all.

Sasuke, seriously? My patience is wearing thin watching him pull these villainous stunts *again*, especially after his whole clan situation finally seemed resolved. It just makes me wonder if he's ever gonna ditch that chip on his shoulder about Naruto, or if I'm doomed to watch him brood forever.

It's seriously heartbreaking to see Fugaku still so cold towards Sasuke, even when it's all just a dream; I mean, no wonder Sasuke carries around all that baggage, needing his father's approval so badly, it makes me think about how much that shaped his choices later on.

My jaw kinda dropped seeing the Uchiha clan just casually integrated into the village life, you know? It made me feel this really heavy bittersweet ache, thinking about all the tragedy that unfolded and just wishing things could've been this peaceful for Sasuke and Itachi.

Ugh, Sasuke is just being such a petty jerk in this one, and honestly, it frustrates me because even with his family alive, he *still* manages to find a way to resent Naruto getting stronger. It makes me wonder if his issues aren't really about revenge, but just a deep-seated inferiority complex that no perfect world could fix.

Man, I really felt for Sakura when Naruto stepped in after Sasuke was being a complete jerk to her; it just goes to show how much Naruto always has her back, and honestly, it made me wish we were back to the actual war already, 'cause this personal drama can get a bit much.

Even in a perfect world where his entire family is alive, he still somehow manages to be a jerk, like he just can't escape that angsty part of himself. I was really hoping he'd get a moment of true peace there, but nope.

Wow, Naruto seriously went all out in that fight, and I was so hyped seeing him just radiate confidence, especially with knowing the Fourth Hokage is his dad now. It's wild to think about, considering how much he struggled with that legacy for so long, but here he is, totally owning it.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting deep in the extended filler stretch of Shippuden's later episodes, 'The Mutual Path' follows 'Returning Home,' which established Sasuke training under Kakashi for Chidori while Naruto began working on the Rasengan — reframing their rivalry through an alternate lens. This episode escalates the tension between them before leading into 'The Difference in Power,' which examines the growing gap in their abilities. None of this advances the main canon storyline, but the arc functions as a character-focused 'what if' exploration of the series' central relationship.
